Giving Notice - Yes, No, Maybe So

I count the number (on my fingers) of readers/friends who I know-for-sure follow my crystals of wisdom on these e-pages. There’s my BFF, her uncle E and cousin M, my youngest soul sister Kora, my beloved Swami-ji, and my Twitter foodie friend Christie, “a self-taught and health-conscious cook who lives in Sydney, Australia” and has a website called Fig & Cherry.  I wonder (when there are uncounted fingers left over) whether or not it’s worth the time and energy to continue writing this blog.

I’ve not been discovered as was Julie Powell, author of the successful blog (the Julie/Julia Project) which later became an even more successful book and film. I’ve not been contacted by a single producer of The Oprah Show, or by any of my favorite publishers. I’ve not had my 15 minutes of fame unless, of course, you count my two appearances on The Doctor Oz Show in which my blog title ended up on the editing room floor.

In truth, I may have already written everything any would-be Goddess needs to know about reinventing herself, revitalizing her marriage, and rebooting her libido (efforts well worth time and energy).   I’m living proof that an everyday woman can enter marriage (with all of the bells and whistles that new love starts out with), raise children, deal with the trials and tribulations of life, and come out the other end refreshed, renewed, and more in love than ever.

Newbie readers with a longing for romantic restoration are advised to go back and begin on page one.

Female Orgasm – Like The Flick Of A BIC®

It’s fairly common for a woman, as she approaches the middle years, to experience a decline in her libido. Add to this, greater difficulty in achieving a once-easy-to-attain orgasm and you have a bona fide challenge at hand.  Think of the female orgasm as you would a BIC® lighter.  A brand new BIC® lights easily and consistently; but over time, the lighting response gets sluggish and eventually the flame is gone forever. Though the aging female orgasm may function as a well-used BIC®, the outcome has a much better prognosis.

There are many scientific reasons for the declining female orgasm.  Hormones (or lack thereof), decreased muscle tension, clitoral shrinkage, decrease in vaginal elasticity and lubrication, illness, medical procedures which have a physical or emotional impact on sexuality, medications that inhibit sexual response,  stress, anxiety, fatigue, relationship issues, poor body image… the list goes on.

A plethora of self-help books, magazine articles, TV talk show episodes, and websites abundantly address the variables associated with revitalizing one’s orgasmic response. A visit with a capable health practitioner (Internist, Gynecologist, Urologist, Sex Therapist, Relationship Coach, et al) may be of help.

Even if your orgasmic flame has dwindled or gone out completely, there’s probably still hope to revitalize or completely resurrect it. Orgasm retraining is much like any exercise program. It just takes some patience, effort, and a partner (or vibrator) you trust. You might need to abandon practices that no longer work for you or find new techniques that bring victory. Orgasms may be the positive result of successful masturbation (with or without a partner), penetrative sexual intercourse or non-penetrative outercourse. As they say, different strokes for different folks. Take it from me, a lost libido and/or orgasm is not a lost cause.

New Year's Resolutions, Already Shot To Sh*T

Here I sit at my computer on January 9th. So far, I haven't honored any of my New Year's resolutions. There's no shame or regret ... well maybe just a little as I am human after all. I restart, refresh, reboot, and renew myself with the following spiritual intention. The words of wisdom come from Allison Rae/ and were brought to me (and you) by my BFF who often brings me goodies of all sorts.
Beginning now, I choose to walk in a new way on planet Earth, to attune to her as I remember cosmic truth and embody my divine purpose.I forgive myself and others and open my heart to receive the infinite blessings of divine love flowing throughout the universe and coursing through my very veins.

As I attune to the Earth, the Moon, the planet and star beings in the heavens, I breathe with universal forces of creation. Divine Source enters me, filling the cells and spaces of my being with pure love and light. I am healed, whole, and renewed.

May I be gentle with myself and others as pain, fear and suffering are released. I bless all I encounter and embrace my fellow beings, all situations and circumstances, all thoughts, feelings and emotions, as reflections of my own divinity.

I joyfully claim my destiny as a force for positive change at this turning point in Earth's history. Together with my brothers and sisters, I will strive to shape the future in ways that serve humanity's highest evolution and fulfill the needs of generations yet to come.

Aligned in truth, I am.
And now I'm good to go... and so it is.
